Group Guidelines

Every member is responsible for his/her own actions and required to uphold the group guidelines. St Louis H Club and the group owner are not liable for members' actions, and any violation of the group guidelines or those not specifically stated but implied is grounds for removal from St Louis H Club.

Privacy

Members are required to maintain the privacy of other members in the group. Members will not disclose members' names, photos, or medical information to anyone who is not a member of the group. Members will not disclose members' other private information to group members or to anyone who is not a member of the group. The general rule of thumb here is that if you wouldn't want other people to learn this information about you, or the person implied that it was private, then you should not share it.

Respect

Members are required to be respectful at all times to other members. Message board posts that are disrespectful or offensive will be rejected or deleted and the person who posted them is considered to be in violation of the group guidelines and subject to removal from the group. Please remember that this group is open to men and women with HSV/HPV of all ages, races, sexual preferences, religions, and political affiliations, so you are expected to be sensitive to and respectful of the feelings and beliefs of every member. This group is based around support, not debate; there is a time and place for those topics to be discussed, but it is not the St Louis H Club message board.

Support

Members are required to be supportive toward other members at all times. It is important to remember that newly diagnosed members are often very upset about their diagnosis and need a higher level of support than most members who have had the virus for a long time. Think back to when you were first diagnosed and remember how you felt before responding to another member's post. Just because you have recovered from your diagnosis does not mean others should be expected to "get over it". If a member posts anything that is considered to be insensitive, hurtful, embarrassing, or insulting it is considered a violation of the guidelines.
